I started in the coffee circle which helped me build me cofindence and now I am looking forward to joining the theatre circle. I really miss going to the theatre its years since I last went. Having the whole trip organised door to door has given me the confidence to join in - I feel so lucky to be part of such a positive group. Thank you.
What can I say the team have helped me so much - before joining I spent most of my days isolating in my house and garden. In a way everything became too much for me. Now I have a new lease of life. I'm helping others to develop their gardening skills and I'm able to pass on my knowledge to other members of the group. I am even going into local primary schools to teach them the merits of growing their own fruit and veg. Who would have known that at 84 I've become a teacher all thanks to Community Care and their gardening circle.
I am very happy that I joined the theatre circle - before I didn't dare go to theatres and events alone. I felt that everyone would look at me and judge me. Now I am a member of the theatre circle I can go to so many shows and events with the group. There is always someone to talk to and we have such fun travelling to the events and discussing what we liked (and sometimes didn't like) on the way home. What a joy to be able to go out at night and not worry about driving.. I just relax whilst I'm being delivered door to door.
